SHAH ALAM: “Your perfume is your message, your scented slogan” marks a comeback for the 49 year old CEO of Mrs Asia Worldwide 2018, Shyleena Faridah Hope who launched her “Parfum and Fashion Show” at the Ali Grand Hall, Star Avenue Mall in Bandar Pinggiran Subang on the 31st of July.
Mrs Faridah’s husband, Mr Bruce Hope constantly encourages her to believe in herself and supports her tirelessly. Bruce said, “Being a financial consultant who has experience running three businesses, I ask my wife whether she is able to cope with the demands of business. When she is succeeding or facing difficulties, I am there to support and motivate her”.
She mentioned in her opening speech that her family has been her backbone, especially her husband and her two beautiful daughters, Isabelle Elena Hope, 11 and Jade Aryane Hope, 9 which has inspired the girls to design their own collection.
Mrs Faridah’s latest launch,“Shyleena Parfum D’Hope” – a perfume for gentlemen which symbolises empowerment and strength. Likewise, “Shyleena Parfum D’ Ailes” is for the ladies and is representative of an independent woman with wings. The brand was named “Shyleena” as Mrs Faridah’s mother adored the name for a very long time which inspired her to decide on the name for her brand to make her mother proud.
Besides, after Mrs Faridah won the title as Mrs Asia Worldwide 2018 last April, Queen Ambassador Worldwide 2018 and Mrs Charisma Worldwide 2018, she then decided to establish a business which had brought success when she first launched her new boutique collection on April 2019 she explained in her speech.
One of her main aims is to start a platform for younger generations to educate them based on their interests and talent especially for those young children who are interested in fashion design, modeling and photography.
Faridah added that, “Shyleena will be the stepping stone for children to develop and build up their potential and gradually look to the international level where one may travel to countries such as Vietnam, Philippines and Singapore. So there will be children pageants in the future involved in professional modelling”
The Perfume took six years of trial and error and then only was it manufactured in France with the needs of fellow Malaysians in mind with regards to halal requirements. The fragrance is long lasting which is ideal for active women on the go. It cost RM175 per 50ml and 5% of the profit is donated to a designated charity.
She said, “Since the product is new, it is normally marketed on social media, at events, giving out fliers, and setting up booths. Even though, I don’t find online platforms as effective because perfume connoisseurs cannot get the opportunity to experience fragrances but walking in for a meet and greet is something else entirely.”
Patrons could set appointments and drop in to purchase their perfumes. It is situated at Di Mayang Condominium at the center of the city in Kuala Lumpur which is easily access via public transport (3 minute walk from KLCC) and there are also plenty of visitor parking.
