It’s been almost a decade now since a lot of business and leisure travellers’ have started to migrate from the traditional hotel accommodation to something different due to convenience and affordability. The rise of serviced apartments and Airbnb has seen much light of day since this migration, due to the fact that with such offerings, one could stay in more than just a 200sq foot unit yet have the indulgence of facilities and amenities that hotels provide.

Sadly, extended-stay hotels have not been the number one choice within the corporate travel lodging landscape, until recently.

Factors like the rise of Airbnb, where prices have increased and serviced apartments that simply try to envision being hotels (where services aren’t offered to the fullest) have led way for the rise in extended-stay hotels.

Hyatt House, the first extended-stay series in Southeast Asia has found its way to Mont’Kiara, Kuala Lumpur and will open its doors to the public on 1stDecember, next month – as they are accepting bookings at the moment. Hyatt House stands out among its competitors for spacious units that offer an urban residential feel, such as one might expect from a condo or furnished apartment. The brand has alleviated the pain points procurement professionals have faced with extended-stay hotels by adding a fine, personal touch to their service. Instead of treating guests like ‘guests’, Hyatt House aims to treat each ‘guest’ like family.

Having said that, today, we bring you a report that deserves a standing ovation. The readers of Business Travel News selected both Hyatt Place as the number one upscale brand and Hyatt House as the number one Extended Stay Upscale brand in their 2018 annual hotel brand survey.

Important categories such as location, cleanliness, quality of meeting facilities, on-property services, healthy food options, safety and security and brand consistency ranks the survey. It also ranks many sales categories like sales staff, Hyatt House’s partnership approach, sales negotiation flexibility, effective communications to travel buyers, quality of data and reporting and overall price / value relationship.

Over the years, Hyatt Place has been at the top of its segment multiple times, but for the first time in the brand’s history, Hyatt House has emerged to take the number one spot in the upscale extended stay segment. Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont’Kiara will be ready to greet visitors on 1 December 2018, just in time for the year-end festivities as they are now accepting bookings for stays on 1 Dec 2018 and beyond.

When it comes to business or pleasure, the Hyatt House suites simply hit all the correct chords.

This year marks the first time in the history of the Business Travel News brand’s survey that Hyatt Hotels Corp.’s Hyatt House brand has led the Upscale Extended-stay segment. That milestone speaks volumes of the fine quality offered at Hyatt House—the brand placed first or above average during the past three annual J.D. Power North America Hotel Guest Satisfaction Index studies—and speaks more to the growth of the brand, both in actual footprint and in its penetration of the corporate travel market.

“Understanding the needs and wants of guests with simple personalized nick-knacks in their unit to 24-hour facilities and utilities have raised the positive eyebrows of many corporate travelers as well as leisure travelers worldwide”, said Bennett Peter, general manager of Hyatt House Mont’Kiara.

The key to Hyatt House’s success is their philosophy towards all their employees. They are in the business of caring for people so that their employees can always be at their best. It aims to create long-term relationships built on being the most loved and preferred brand, employer and partner throughout the world.

All suites at Hyatt House Mont’Kiara are tastefully designed to ensure you experience the Hyatt House hospitality.

The above statement is testament as Great Place to Work recently ranked Hyatt number 14 on “The World’s Best Workplaces 2018” list. Further testimony can be felt when you stay at the premises. All employees from the tea-lady to the top managers always have a smile on their face and are glad to assist even at early hours in the morning.
