    TAKADA Asset Management, a prominent global financial house, today announced the appointment of Dato Mohd Emir Mawani Abdullah as Director and Country Manager for Indonesia.

    With an exceptional corporate and leadership background, Dato Emir Mawani’s appointment is set to bolster TAKADA’s strategic capabilities in the Southeast Asia region. Dato Mawani is widely acclaimed as an expert in economic and government administration reform, with an illustrious career spanning the Middle East and Asia.

    Dato Emir Mavani Abdullah served as the CEO of Felda Global Ventures Holdings Berhad (FGV) during its initial public offering (IPO) in 2012, which at the time was the world’s second largest IPO after FACEBOOK. Prior to joining FGV, Dato Mawani had a distinguished career in the banking and financial industry. He held various senior positions at Maybank, one of Malaysia’s largest financial institutions, including Group Chief Financial Officer and Head of Global Banking. His experience in the banking sector equipped him with a strong financial acumen and strategic insight.

    During his tenure as CEO of FGV, Dato Mawani played a vital role in steering the company’s growth and transformation. Under his leadership, FGV expanded its presence in the palm oil sector, both domestically and internationally, becoming one of the world’s largest integrated palm oil players. As CEO, Dato Emir Mawani focused on transforming FGV into a sustainable and diversified agri-business conglomerate. He implemented several key initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, improve productivity, and ensure responsible and sustainable practices across the company’s value chain.

He has successfully led and closed numerous financing transactions in the Equity Capital Markets (ECM) sector, and his expertise extends to facilitating and structuring tailored investment banking transactions within the scope of Debt Capital Markets (DCM) for companies listed on the London Stock Exchange and the Toronto Stock Exchange.
