The current COVID-19 situation and the resulting mass-quarantine has shone a spotlight on live streaming and the many benefits it offers is unprecedented – such as medical professionals offering medical advice and tips to stay safe, friends and family keeping in touch, meeting new people, and being entertained by aspiring and established artists
For many of us in Malaysia who are currently living amidst economic uncertainties, live streaming can become a crucial alternative revenue income source, and during this period, Bigo Live is enabling people to spread positivity and connect with the world through an interactive, secure and stable platform.
We therefore would like to interest you in speaking to our inspiring, talented and dedicated broadcasters in Malaysia including:
- Maisarah, a former hospitality staff who previously earned around RM900 monthly, who made broadcasting on Bigo Live her full time career, earning up to RM10,000 per month. She also uses Bigo Live to influence others to explore the platform as a means to improve their lives financially
- Laila, who initially turned to Bigo Live to help her cope with her depression. In turn, the platform has allowed her to be a positive and genuine influence on her viewers; and
- taiigerJR6, a Malaysian comedian and singer who often provides love and relationship advice to his viewers. An active Bigo Live streamer, he met his partner on the app and live streamed his wedding through it in 2017.
Bigo Live has touched the lives of many broadcasters through numerous ways, including:
- Keeping their passion alive during such times where outdoor activities and events are highly discouraged, broadcasters continue to chase their dreams such as singing and dancing on Bigo Live.
- Financial independence – Since the outbreak of Covid-19, we have witnessed people losing jobs or having to take a pay cut. Bigo Live continues to allow broadcasters to earn an income on their platform and be financially independent.
