    Malaysia Tourism Trends

Trip.com Group’s data shows that the most popular Malaysian cities for travellers besides Kuala Lumpur during the Labour Day Holiday are Kota Kinabalu, Penang, Langkawi and Semporna.

Interestingly, Tawau is among the top five most popular cities for Chinese travellers, which is home to the world’s third-largest cocoa-producing area and offers both land and sea experiences.

The most popular Malaysian attractions during this holiday period are Mataking Island and Mabul Island, the Petronas Twin Towers, and The Stadthuys. This illustrates the diverse preferences of holidaymakers, which range from scuba diving in the state of Sabah to witnessing the marvellous city landscape in Kuala Lumpur, to immersing oneself in Malacca’s multi-cultural heritage.
