Retykle to power circularity for kidswear in Singapore

Following a successful round of funding earlier this year, Retykle – Asia’s leading resale platform dedicated to children’s designer clothing, gear and toys – announces its expansion into Singapore. Marking the Hong Kong-founded brand’s first foray into an overseas market, Singapore-based shoppers can now sell and purchase online, whilst a physical studio enables customers to drop off their outgrown clothes, whilst browsing through a curated edit of the most sought-after brands.

The aha moment for Retykle came to Sarah Garner in 2016, following the birth of her first child. The former luxury fashion veteran experienced first-hand how quickly kids grow out of their clothes, leaving behind closets full of too small, barely worn items. With a vision to build a circular fashion company that positively impacts the environment, parents’ lives and the community, Retykle was born. Since then, over 150,000 products have been recirculated through Retykle.

Speaking on Retykle’s expansion, Sarah said, “With its growing appetite for eco-conscious fashion and lifestyle choices, Singapore was a natural second market for Retykle. We are looking forward to empowering parents to conveniently reduce children’s fashion waste by transforming the way they shop.”

Retykle takes the hassle out of resale; parents simply book a free home pick up and Retykle does the rest. It is the most convenient way to clean out kids’ closets, earn cashback and buy quality preloved items at up to 90 per cent off. When an item sells, sellers can choose to receive 50 per cent commission in cash, 55 per cent as a store credit or they can donate their earnings to one of Retykle’s local charity partners. In addition, items that do not meet Retykle’s quality and brand standards can be donated to charity or returned to the seller, ensuring that everything remains in circulation and out of the landfill.
