Malaysian Parliament: National cybersecurity protection

    According to Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Special Functions) Datuk Mastura Mohd Yazid, Malaysia uses the National Cyber Crisis Management Plan, which was developed in 2008 to protect the country’s digital infrastructure security.

    Moreover, in 2016, the National Cyber Coordination and Command Center (NC4) was established to monitor and respond to any cyber incidents and threats involving organizational agencies Critical National Information Infrastructure (CNII) in the public and private sectors.

    In addition, the government has also launched the Malaysia Cybersecurity Strategy 2020-2024 on October 12, 2020, in collaboration with the National Cybersecurity Agency (NACSA), outlining strategic actions to address the threat through an integrated approach that addresses various aspects of cybersecurity in a holistic and coordinated manner.
