To commemorate Sandbox’s victory in ‘Nexon Kartrider 2021’, in which Park In-soo played a vital part, DeFine and Sandbox Gaming will hold three auctions on the DeFine platform on the 15th. Along with the NFTs, all auction bidders will receive the limited NFT of Park’s pixel-art character. As the first e-sports NFT auction in Asia, the Sandbox GamingNFTs represent a major milestone in the NFT world. Capturing the interest of e-sports fans will be a huge boost to the current NFT landscape and major focus for the DeFine platform.
Meanwhile, the current NFT market is developing into a stage that goes beyond simply selling artworks and illustrations to selling record moments of specific games, such as NBA players’ performances. Through this NFT collaboration starting with this auction, DeFine and Sandbox Gaming plan to combine various IPs from Korea, the leader in e-sports and the country with the most international e-sports victories, with NFTs.
Myung-Hoon Kang, General Manager of DeFine Korea, said, “It is an honor to be able to NFTize the numerous achievements and record moments that Sandbox Gaming’s pro gamers have accumulated in the field of e-sports.” “Through this auction, we will create new market opportunities combining the e-sports field and NFTs,” he added.
In Mo Chung, Chief Strategy Officer of Sandbox Gaming, said, “Combing Sandbox’s various IPs with NFT, Sandbox Gaming will not only create new market opportunities but also continue to lead innovation in the e-sports industry.”
