Investigation into national coach’s conduct finds no wrongdoing – Malaysian Cricket Association

    The Malaysian Cricket Association (MCA) recently completed investigations into the allegation and a formal complaint against one of the national men’s coaches. According to MCA president, Mohammed Iqbal Ali Bin Kassim Ali, their investigations found no wrongdoing.

    In a statement issued today, Mohammed Iqbal said:

    “Following the allegation made on a social media platform and upon receiving a formal complaint into the conduct of the National Men’s Coach, Mr. Bilal Asad, the MCA conducted an investigation. The 5-day investigation included the submission of over 100 pages of evidence, written statements and several hours of oral submissions.

    “To ensure that the investigation took a 360-degree approach, statements and evidence were collected from the complainant, coach, all contracted national players, team management and management staff together with publicly posted statements in social media.

    “The investigation found that Mr. Bilal Asad in his capacity of National Men’s Coach has acted within his remit and at no time dealt with the player in question unfairly, beyond established procedures or outside the spirit of cricket. As such no further action or measures is required.

    “The Malaysian Cricket Association appreciates the patience demonstrated by Mr. Bilal Asad during this challenging time and for conducting himself in a manner appropriate for an individual entrusted with the responsibility of a national coach.” News Hub Asia logo-seal
