The Largest ASEAN SME Trade Event 2025, as recognised by the ASEAN Records, SME Venture@ASEAN 2025, organised by SME Corp. Malaysia, concluded successfully today with an impressive outcome. Over three days, the event recorded MYR 520 million in potential sales value from 424 business matching sessions. It attracted 13,850 visitors to the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur.

A total of 364 SMEs and 60 buyers participated in the GoASEAN Biz Match (business matching session). Renowned organisations include local companies such as Mydin Mohamed Holdings, Aeon Co (M) Berhad and UDA Holdings (Mari Mart and KIRANA), and international buyers among others, Autel Robotics (China), Jiuhua Century Investment Limited (Hong Kong), PLUS Exploration Co., Ltd (Thailand), Karl Group Holdings Corporation (Philippines), Dare Company Limited (Myanmar) and Wot-Natural Khmer Moringa (Cambodia).
Held in conjunction with Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship, SME Venture@ASEAN 2025 showcased the capabilities and innovation of Malaysian and regional SMEs, creating new business opportunities and cross-border linkages supporting ASEAN’s growth agenda. The event, themed ‘Bringing ASEAN Closer to You’, signifies the recognition of SMEs being the backbone of the region.
During the three-day event, a total of 370 exhibitors from high-impact sectors as well as consumer products had the opportunity to showcase their most innovative products and services. These include 62 international exhibitors from ASEAN countries, Germany, India, Japan, Oman and Taiwan (Republic of China).
In addition, 19 SMEs were given the opportunity to present their business potential to leading private equity firms, venture capitalists, and peer-to-peer financing platforms through the fund pitching session known as Pitch2Go, securing a total of RM70 million in funding and investments.
The Closing Ceremony was officiated by YBhg. Dato’ Sri Khairul Dzaimee bin Daud, Secretary General, Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (KUSKOP).

We firmly believe that enhanced market access is pivotal to elevating our SMEs and positioning them as strong players on the global stage”, said YBhg. Dato’ Sri Khairul Dzaimee.
At the same event, Mr. Rizal bin Dato’ Nainy, the Organising Chairman of SME Venture@ASEAN 2025 and Chief Executive Officer of SME Corp. Malaysia, announced that SME Venture@ASEAN 2025 has successfully achieved its goal of connecting entrepreneurs, inspiring innovation, and strengthening collaboration within ASEAN. The strong participation and trade results highlight Malaysia’s readiness to lead regional efforts in driving SME growth and expanding intra-ASEAN trade under the ASEAN Chairmanship.
The event also featured two (2) Forums, namely the ESG Forum, in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), and the ASEAN SME Forum, co organised with the Small and Medium Enterprises Association of Malaysia (SAMENTA). A total of close to 500 participants took part in these Forums on 16 October and 17 October 2025.
During the closing ceremony, the SME Venture@ASEAN 2025 Awards were presented. Ventura IOT Sdn. Bhd. was recognised with the Outstanding SME Award, while CG Global Profastex Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. and Rodrell Sdn. Bhd. received the Outstanding Women SME Award and the Outstanding Youth SME Award, respectively. These awards celebrate SMEs that have demonstrated exceptional achievements in business performance and export growth. The celebration concluded with the grand prize lucky draw, where the lucky visitor brought home a Perodua Aruz 1.5 AV.
