Kuala Lumpur Bike Show 2023 set to become main event showcasing two-wheel vehicles in Asia

The inaugural edition of the Kuala Lumpur Bike Show 2023 (KLBS ’23) will be held from 24 to 27 August at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTC KL). The ticketed event will occur over four days at Tun Razak Halls 3 and 4, Pelantaran Putra and The Merdeka Hall of WTC KL, from 10 am to 10 pm daily.

According to organisers, Moventuum Sdn Bhd and RodaRoda Magazine by Bayu D Enterprise Sdn Bhd, KLBS ’23 is designed to attract an international audience and will become the region’s main event for two-wheel vehicles.

Farouk Nurish, Managing Director at Moventuum Sdn Bhd said, “Most motorcycle-based events held in Malaysia, and even the region, are very ‘jamboree’ or gathering-centric. While there may be several hybrid events that include motorcycles as a component of the show, there is no dedicated “two-wheel” event that can be classified as a premium international exhibition. KLBS ’23 consists of numerous elements of great impact, allowing industry players to showcase their latest products and services and visitors to  experience a new emotional experience in the two-wheel lifestyle.”

KLBS ’23 will feature a range of components, including the launch of new models and innovations in the region, presentations on biking-related topics, technical workshops, showroom and sales floors, outdoor activities, and many more, all in one location.

Farouk added, “The global Covid-19 pandemic had a devastating effect on the tourism and events industries in Kuala Lumpur. However, as the worst is behind us, the KLBS ’23 is a part of the revival of both industries. The tourism industry in Kuala Lumpur will have a positive impact when there are more events that cater to wider audiences. Especially events that have content, such as motorcycles and bicycles, that appeals to many in the region.”

KLBS ’23 will be promoted locally as well as regionally. While a concerted effort will be made to target bikers and biking enthusiasts in neighbouring Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia, there will be a broader campaign that will also target audiences across Asia.

Dr Yusseri Yusoff, Director at Bayu D Enterprise Sdn Bhd, said, “RodaRoda Magazine has been a staple in the Malaysian motorcycle industry since the 1980s. Over the decades, the magazine has helped to create communities of like-minded enthusiasts of motorcycles in every size and category. An event like this is something that I have always wanted RodaRoda to be a part of. It is about bikes. It is about those of us who ride those bikes. And it is about the passion that we have for the machines.”

“The show will have every type of motorcycle, from scooters to superbikes, sports-tourers to adventurers, on the tarmac and in the dirt. It will offer something for every type of biker. We have invited several biking groups and associations to be a part of the show and showcase their activities, encouraging the growth of biking communities and organised activities around bikes,” concluded Dr Yusseri.
