Dusit Foods Co., Ltd., the food division of hospitality giant Dusit International, has announced an expanded collaboration with Thai Airways to continue the success of the ‘Streets to Sky’ initiative, an in-flight dining programme that brings authentic Thai street food to international passengers.
The project, originally launched in August 2024, introduced beloved street food dishes from small and medium-sized Thai eateries onto Thai Airways’ Economy Class menus. These dishes were curated through Pinto Hub, a food innovation platform jointly developed by Dusit Foods and Farm to Plate Processor Co., Ltd. (F2P). Following overwhelmingly positive passenger feedback, the airline and Dusit Foods have now unveiled four additional signature meals on board.

The new dishes, now served on international routes, include:
- Chicken Gravy with Rice from Jeib Rod Dee Ded, a Bangkok eatery famed for its meat dishes for over five decades;
- Duck Noodles from Bang Rak’s Xia Noodle, known for its rich broth, tender duck, and springy noodles;
- Hokkien Stir-Fried Noodles with Seafood from Phuket-based Krua Jongjit, offering bold southern Thai flavours; and
- Choo-Chee Fish Curry from Baan Yeesarn, a dish by Chef Tukta featuring a sweet and spicy herbal sauce.
These additions join earlier offerings like Khao Soi Chicken from Khao Soi Lamduan Fa Ham—a legendary Northern Thai restaurant based in Chiang Mai, Namthien by Khanta’s Crispy Noodles with Chicken Gravy, and Massaman Chicken from Baan Yeesarn Thai Cuisine, which were introduced in the first phase of the project.

“This partnership with Thai Airways allows us to introduce signature street food from Thailand’s most iconic local restaurants into Economy Class meals on every international flight,” said Manisa Mitpaibul, managing director of Dusit Foods. “Each dish is carefully prepared to capture the authentic taste and experience of dining at the original restaurants.”

Pinto Hub, the platform enabling this initiative, was developed to highlight culinary treasures from SMEs—small-scale eateries often overlooked in the mainstream food industry. According to Dusit Foods, these vendors represent more than just food—they carry cultural value, family legacies, and regional stories that deserve a global audience.
The Streets to Sky initiative also aligns with Thai Airways’ long-term strategy to elevate Thai cuisine as a form of soft power, promoting the nation’s culinary heritage on a global stage. It builds on earlier inflight concepts such as Taste of Thai Tales, which brought refined Thai cuisine to premium cabins.
Beyond celebrating gastronomy, the project also generates economic impact. By sourcing ingredients from local farmers, Dusit Foods supports Thailand’s agricultural communities and strengthens the broader food supply chain.

“Streets to Sky is a deeply meaningful project,” Manisa added. “It combines Thai culinary pride with tangible social impact—supporting SMEs and agricultural communities while promoting Thai cuisine as a global cultural force.”
The continued success of this programme highlights a growing trend in aviation to incorporate authentic, locally sourced meals into in-flight offerings—enhancing the passenger experience while contributing to broader sustainability and cultural preservation goals. ![]()
