The Southeast Asia Healthcare and Pharma Show (SEACare) 2025 officially commenced today at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), marking a significant milestone in the region’s healthcare landscape. The event, running from 23 to 25 April, brings together over 130 exhibiting brands from 13 countries, featuring 250 booths showcasing advancements in medical technology, biopharma, digital health, and more.

Officiated by Malaysia’s Minister of Health, Datuk Seri Dr. Haji Dzulkefly Ahmad, the opening ceremony underscored the importance of strategic partnerships in driving digital transformation within the healthcare sector.
The Minister, in his opening speech, emphasised that the future of healthcare cannot be built in isolation. “Modern healthcare progress hinges on cross-border partnerships, dynamic public-private collaborations, and a relentless exchange of knowledge. It is through collective action that we can transform technological advancements into real-world solutions that will elevate patient outcomes, strengthen health security, and bridge gaps in healthcare equity.”

“As we embrace digital transformation and move towards universal healthcare access, SEACare 2025 plays a critical role in accelerating cross-border collaboration and advancing public-private partnerships. Through shared knowledge and collective action, we can strengthen ASEAN’s healthcare resilience and improve lives,” he stated.
Themed “Strategic Partnerships in Healthcare Innovation: Fostering Collaboration for Digital Transformation”, SEACare 2025 is organised by Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn Bhd and co-organised by the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM). The event aims to facilitate meaningful dialogue and collaboration among healthcare professionals, policymakers, and industry leaders.

A highlight of the opening day was the signing of several memoranda of understanding (MoUs), including the Cancer Symposium Series 2025 involving Prince Court Medical Centre, Alliance Bank, and NCSM.
Additionally, an MoU between Qube and the Malaysian Dental Association (MDA) was signed, introducing a new component for SEACare 2026 by integrating MDA’s Scientific Convention and Trade Exhibition (SCATE).

The event also witnessed the launch of the Zafar VC Fund by SEACare 2025 conference partner, Five Pillar Venture Capital Sdn. Bhd., aimed at deepening regional healthcare collaborations.
Richard Teo, executive chairman of Qube, highlighted SEACare’s evolution into a dynamic business-matching platform. “Healthcare in our region is evolving rapidly. From technological breakthroughs to the growing demand for accessible and sustainable care, we are at a pivotal moment where innovation must meet the pressing needs of our communities,” he remarked.

The inaugural SEA Healthcare and Pharma Conference 2025, held alongside SEACare, features a robust programme addressing critical issues such as health system transformation, digital health, and innovative financing strategies. Notable speakers include Hazmi Yusof, Country Head of Frost & Sullivan GIC Malaysia; Hoo Ling Lee, Regional CEO of KPJ Healthcare Bhd; and Dr. Mahesh Appannan, Director of Digital Health at the Ministry of Health Malaysia.
With an anticipated attendance of approximately 15,000 trade visitors over three days, SEACare 2025 is expecting to generate a potential sales volume of RM1 billion, reinforcing Malaysia’s position as a regional hub for medical and pharmaceutical progress.

Richard commented, “As the organiser of SEACare, Qube takes great pride in curating this vital business platform. This year, we are raising the bar by focusing on strategic business matchmaking, thought leadership forums, and industry-driven networking opportunities, ensuring every exhibitor and attendee gains real, tangible value.”
