Located on Kingsway in London’s Midtown district, The Lincoln Suites is housed within a restored Edwardian building and offers 54 self-contained studios and apartments. The property has carved a niche among international travellers for its blend of modern design, heritage touches and prime location near Covent Garden and Holborn.

E&O’s executive chairman Datuk Seri Tee Eng Ho said the award reaffirms the group’s ability to deliver globally competitive standards in hospitality, anchored by its Malaysian ethos.

“We are proud that E&O’s distinct brand of refined living, shaped by our heritage and vision as a Malaysian company, continues to earn international recognition,” said Tee. “The Lincoln Suites’ success reflects our ability to compete on a global stage while staying true to the values that define E&O.”

Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards recognise properties that consistently deliver excellent experiences. Winners are determined based on millions of genuine reviews that rate hospitality businesses on key metrics including service, cleanliness, location and value.

E&O managing director Kok Tuck Cheong credited the London-based team for its consistent service delivery.

“This recognition reinforces our belief that luxury is defined by thoughtful service, intuitive design and local character. To be honoured for three consecutive years is a credit to the on-ground team in London and reflects our ongoing commitment to upholding E&O’s hospitality values on an international stage,” he said.

While The Lincoln Suites may be situated in one of Europe’s busiest capitals, its roots remain firmly Malaysian. The property forms part of E&O’s broader strategy of building a global footprint for its signature brand of East-meets-West hospitality – an approach honed over decades through the group’s flagship Eastern & Oriental Hotel in Penang, established in 1885.

For South East Asia’s fast-expanding travel sector, E&O’s continued success in Europe signals growing recognition of ASEAN-based players in global hospitality markets. The group joins a select few from the region, making strategic inroads into high-value destinations like London, combining local values with international standards.

Beyond its London holdings, which include Princes House, ESCA House and a commercial property in Hammersmith, E&O’s Malaysian portfolio spans luxury developments in Penang, Kuala Lumpur and Johor. Its 760-acre Andaman Island project off the coast of Penang is among the country’s most ambitious waterfront developments, underscoring the group’s long-term vision for premium living spaces.

As South East Asian travellers increasingly seek out homegrown brands abroad, The Lincoln Suites stands as a testament to the potential of regional hospitality players to succeed on the global stage without losing their cultural identity.
