Kuala Lumpur’s Oishii Innovations Group is giving away up to RM250,000 worth of free meal vouchers over 10 days, across all its restaurants!

To celebrate a decade of delighting diners across the Klang Valley in Malaysia, renowned Japanese restaurants Asumo, Kyomo, Kingyu, Itsumo, and minamo are thrilled to launch a fun-filled 10-day anniversary giveaway from 14 to 23 July 2025. The group is expecting to give away up to RM250,000 worth of free meal vouchers over the 10-day period.

Guests dining in at any of the group’s five restaurants will have the chance to win a free meal by simply playing a game of chance – tossing a pair of dice with the hopes of rolling a double. With the odds of rolling a double at one in six, guests can expect high chances of winning a free meal.

“We’re incredibly proud to celebrate 10 successful years in Malaysia, and we thought this would be a fun way to say thanks,” said Kota Furuya, general manager of the group. “With such good odds, there are going to be multiple winners every night, for 10 nights, at every venue. So there are going to be a lot of happy winners!”

Depending on the restaurant, the average spend per person can begin at RM50 and go up to RM280, so when multiplied by groups, the potential win is quite substantial. Either way, whether you stand to win a meal of RM100 or RM3,000, it’s an excellent opportunity to get together and feast with your family and friends, then try your luck and roll the dice.

The group started in 2015 when its founders had a yearning for the authentic flavours and modern-day restaurants of their home country, Japan, and wanted to create relatable concepts in Kuala Lumpur. Itsumo, meaning ‘always’ – a casual joint serving barbecued skewers of bite-sized chicken and vegetables, also known as yakitori, was opened.

Then in 2017 came the hugely popular Kyomo, translating to ‘today, also’, presenting modern Tokyo-style Japanese wagyu yakiniku cuts to be cooked over glowing coals at each table. Kingyu joined the ranks with its contemporary wagyu-focused menu in 2019. In 2023, the group opened Asumo, a sister-restaurant to Kyomo in SS15, offering over 40 private rooms, within which to enjoy their halal Japanese wagyu yakiniku.

Their latest offering is ramen minamo in collaboration with chef Chihiro Miyazaki of Tokyo’s Michelin Bib Gourmand-listed Soranoiro ramen. Launched in September 2024, minamo has become a very popular spot, known first for its chicken-based Shiro and Shoyu ramen, as well as its regular new releases each quarter, the most recent three being the Aka, Kinoko and Karamiso.
