KAO Malaysia, in collaboration with leading health and beauty retailer Watsons, launched its new nationwide campaign “Skin Protection, Life Perfection” yesterday, urging Malaysians to make skin protection a cornerstone of long-term health and confidence.
The initiative, built around Bioré’s science-driven skincare range, aims to instil the importance of consistent sun protection and tailored skincare from a young age. It also underscores how small daily routines can contribute to overall well-being, supported by expert insights and retail incentives.
“At KAO, we believe that skin protection is more than just a daily routine – it’s the foundation of a life well lived,” said Yamazaki Hirobumi, president of KAO Malaysia. “Through this campaign, we want to remind Malaysians that every act of care, no matter how small, can shape a more radiant and confident tomorrow.”

Held in Kuala Lumpur, the launch event featured expert speakers, including Associate Professor Dr Noraini Binti Ahmad of Universiti Malaya and Dr Lim Ing Kien (popularly known as Dr Ingky), who respectively discussed skincare ingredient science and age-specific regimens. Both talks emphasised that healthy skin begins in youth and requires a lifelong commitment.
Watsons Malaysia, the campaign’s official retail partner, will play a key role in scaling outreach via its extensive store network, e-commerce platform, and customer loyalty programmes.

Running from 6 May to 25 June 2025, the campaign offers exclusive in-store and online promotions. Consumers who purchase RM80 or more of Bioré or Bioré Guard products (excluding Men’s Bioré) in a single transaction at Watsons will be eligible to redeem one of 400 Touch ’n Go eWallet reload PINs worth RM25. Additionally, Watsons’ loyalty schemes allow members to collect points or e-stamps in exchange for selected Bioré products.
Central to the campaign is the promotion of Bioré’s “Cleanse. Protect.” approach — a simple regimen that combines gentle cleansing with high-performance UV-blocking formulations, supporting skin resilience and confidence in daily life.
The campaign also aligns with KAO Malaysia’s ongoing health advocacy work, including its “Guard Our Future” dengue prevention initiative conducted in collaboration with the Selangor State Government. YB Jamaliah Jamaluddin, Selangor EXCO for Public Health and Environment, attended the launch, reflecting continued support for community-centred preventive care.
“Skin Protection, Life Perfection” is part of KAO’s wider Kirei Lifestyle Plan, which champions harmony between individual well-being and sustainable living. The campaign reinforces the role of consistent skincare in enhancing both health outcomes and quality of life.
