Solarvest Holdings Berhad (Solarvest) continues to accelerate its regional growth momentum with a major milestone at Energy Taiwan 2025, as Nextree Synergy Sdn. Bhd. The signing ceremony took place during the Energy Taiwan 2025, formalised the appointment of Atlantic Blue as the turnkey Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) contractor for the 60 MW project under the Large Scale Solar 5 (LSS5) in Kuala Langat, Selangor. The project is scheduled to achieve commercial operation by October 2027.

This milestone builds upon Solarvest strategic partnership with Chailease International Company (Malaysia) Limited (Chailease) and GreenRock Energy Co., Ltd. (“GreenRock”), first announced in International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition and Conference Malaysia (IGEM) 2024, underscoring the strength of Malaysia–Taiwan collaboration in advancing clean energy development. It reflects Solarvest’s ability to forge cross-border collaborations and demonstrates its expanding role as a regional renewable energy enabler across Asia-Pacific.

To support its growing portfolio, Solarvest recently proposed a private placement of up to 10% of its total number of issued ordinary shares, expected to raise gross proceeds of up to RM254 million to finance ongoing solar projects, including Nextree’s facility. This follows its partnership with Brookfield to develop 1.5 GW of renewable energy projects in Malaysia, further affirming Solarvest’s regional growth and investor confidence.

Nextree is a special purpose vehicle comprising Solarvest’s wholly-owned subsidary, Nextree Sdn. Bhd. (60 per cent); Chailease (30 per cent), a subsidiary of Taiwan’s leading leasing group; GreenRock (5 per cent), a prominent player in Taiwan’s renewable energy sector; and Servex (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (5 per cent), a subsidiary of Acer Incorporated, one of the world’s top ICT companies.
