The Malaysia Australia Business Council congratulates new Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese

    The Malaysia Australia Business Council (MABC) congratulates Anthony Albanese on becoming Australia’s 31st Prime Minister following the recent federal election.

    “We look forward to working with the incoming ministerial team to further enhance business relationships, cross-border trade, two-way investment, and technical collaboration”, said Dinesh Nambiar, Chairman of MABC.

    In a statement by its executive committee yesterday, MABC stated that as Malaysia plays an important role within ASEAN, the MABC welcomes the Prime Minister’s recent appointment of a special envoy to ASEAN and an additional AUD470 million in foreign aid over the next four years.

    On the business level, the MABC looks forward to working towards further strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Malaysia and Australia and empowering shared priorities between the two countries.
